COPPER

Copper is one of the most versatile metals most jewelers work with. It is strong, vibrant, earthy in its tone, and amenable to many different combinations. I love working with copper. I am experimenting with many ways to oxidize it to achieve colorful wraps and want to start integrating it into the background of some silver pieces. Unlike silver (in my experience) copper can develop amazing colorful patinas in different conditions (picture the statue of liberty compared to an old, tarnished silver spoon).  I think the way it can blend into the colors of the stone and let silver take the limelight is truly amazing. My copper is, of course, nickel free and very pure. I very much look forward to bringing more intricately oxidized copper pieces onto my website, as this develops, I hope to update this entry!

Although the crystal, shell, stone (or other item) that was wrapped is obviously the centerpiece of any wrapped jewelry, I feel that the wrap should accentuate, not just securely mount the beautiful item inside. I do my best to hand pick the best quality stones at a good price that I can pass on to you. No two stones will be exactly the same and some could contain imperfections as well as color variations. I try to use these features in the design rather than hide them. Each photo on the website was taken by me and although photos can never can perfectly capture what a piece looks like in person, each photo is an attempt to accurately portray the item listed for purchase. I take a new photo of each item when it is listed for sale, and I don’t reuse photographs for similar designs.
