Cleaning and Care

Cleaning and care will depend on what pendant you have purchased. If your pendant is porous and can be damaged in water, it will have a warning under the description of the product. Make sure you pay close attention to this, or your pendant could degrade or fall apart. These steps are for keeping your pendant polished and steps on how to remove the natural patina (see about materials under copper to learn more) that develops on your pendant over time.

If you wish to remove the patina, follow these steps:

STEP 3: take a polish cloth shine up your pendant back to its original color.

If you wish to just clean your jewelry without removing the natural patina, simply take your polishing cloth and regular clean your jewelry to remove any debris/ dirt. You can do this with any gemstone as it doesn’t require any use of water. If you wish to use water to rinse your pendant, you may do so just make sure it is not a porous gemstone.
